William McGregor rose to prominence as a 19 year old with his short film work including 'Bovine' (Berlinale 2010) and 'Who's Afraid of the Water Sprite?' (Royal Television Society Award for Best Student Drama 2009).

In 2011 he signed as a commercials director to The Mill and shortly after to Independent Talent for representation in film and TV. Named a Screen International Star of Tomorrow before directing BAFTA and EMMY award winning TV for the BBC, C4, Netflix, Apple and HBO. In addition to Cannes Lion award winning commercials for Cartier, Audible, Warner Brothers, Google and BMW. 

His BAFTA Cymru winning and BIFA Nominated debut feature film 'Gwen' premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival 2019, the film also nominated for the Best British Film Award at the 2019 Edinburgh International Film Festival.

In 2021 his self shot environmental documentary 'The Beekeeper' premiered at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, winning best documentary at the Norwich Film Festival, Doc.London and the Buenos Aires International Film Festival. 

William is currently developing multiple film and TV projects with studios and streamers whilst continuing his work as an in demand director of TV and commercials
